Consumer electronics & appliances.
White goods, brown goods, personal devices, small domestic. Underwritten as insurance. Priced as a portfolio.
Diagnosis.
Extended warranty is sold as a service plan. It is priced as a retention tool. It is accounted for as a cost of goods. None of these treatments produce an instrument that behaves as insurance when a claim is made at scale.
The product is insurance. It should be written as such.
What we write.
Four groups · four products · fifteen variants
Group 01 - White goods (major domestic)
Group 02 - Brown goods (entertainment)
Group 03 - Personal devices
Group 04 - Small domestic & personal care
Underwritten as insurance. Priced as a portfolio.
What we do not write.
Enterprise IT hardware. Servers, networking equipment, and data-centre infrastructure belong to a different risk class, written by technology-specialist houses against service-level-agreement benchmarks. We do not write it.
Industrial equipment. Commercial kitchens, laundromat-grade appliances, manufacturing-line tooling - the prior-fact set is different, and so is the claims infrastructure. Written by specialist industrial warranty houses, not by us.
Counterfeit or grey-imported goods. No retailer partnership written without supply-chain authentication. When in doubt, we decline.
