Lifestyle & personal assets.
Agreed-value cover, specialist claims. Jewellery, watches, eyewear, instruments, sports equipment. Niche specialty written as portfolio.
Diagnosis.
High-value personal assets sit in the uncomfortable gap between household contents and commercial cover. The rating basis is agreed-value, not replacement-cost. The claim is infrequent but reputational - a jewellery loss is a memory before it is a settlement.
The category requires three disciplines at once: appraisal rigour on underwriting, specialist claims handling, and distribution through retail partners who understand the asset, not through a general contents insurer's endorsement schedule.
What we write.
Four groups · four products · ten variants
Group 01 - Jewellery & watches
Group 02 - Eyewear & optical
Group 03 - Musical instruments
Group 04 - Sports & recreation
A jewellery loss is a memory before it is a settlement.
What we do not write.
Fine art. A separate valuation discipline and a separate insurer community. Written by specialist fine-art houses; we do not write against their expertise.
Classic and collectable vehicles. The rating basis is agreed-value, the claims are specialist - and the category is already well-served by specialist motor houses. Adjacent to our motor book; not inside it.
Collectable wine and spirits. Storage, provenance, authentication: disciplines outside the house.
